The best hotels in Las Vegas: Cheap tips & expensive recommendations!

The choice of hotels in Las Vegas is enormous. In no other city are there so many accommodations in such a small space and nowhere are the price differences between them so great: Fifty to tens of thousands of euros a night can be spent in the centre.

In the end, it is quite possible to be more satisfied with a cheap overnight stay than with an expensive one. To avoid unpleasant surprises and to give you a small overview, here are hotel tips divided into three price categories!

Luxor Las Vegas

Luxor: Cheap, modern classic on the Strip.Cheap Hotels

While the cheap category in other big cities starts at 100-150$ a night, in Las Vegas you can find a good double room in a central location for 50-75$. This is due on the one hand to the enormous choice, and on the other hand to the fact that the accommodations make a large part of their turnover not with overnight stays, but with shops and games.

Of course, you can't expect great service in this price range, and the crowd is often young and party-oriented, but if you're travelling on a budget, you'll get a lot more for your money than anywhere else.

Luxor

Opened in 1993, Luxor is one of the most impressive buildings in the city: the Sphinx at the entrance, the light beam of the pyramid in the evening and especially the inside of the pyramid is more than worth a look

.The small disadvantage of Luxor is its location at the southern end of the Strip, but its accessibility is still okay. Thanks to mostly low prices, it is worth considering, rooms from 50 euros a night.

$

Flamingo

The

Flamingo is much more centrally located - if you're lucky, you'll have a perfect view of the city's highlights

. Externally, the accommodation may be a little outdated, but the renovated rooms leave a decent impression and the pool is also okay. In this location, you can't get much better for around 100 euros a night.

$

The Linq

If you do find something better, it's probably The Linq. Until a few years ago, it was called Imperial Palace, but has since been completely renovated. It is located in the centre of the Strip and offers the best quality at mostly low prices

. The rooms are a little smaller than those of the competition, but the furnishings are convincing. Absolutely recommended in this price range; in the best case, you only pay around 100 euros including resort fee.

Mirage Las Vegas

Mirage: Great resort with waterfalls and artificial volcanic eruption. The good middle class

What counts as middle class in Las Vegas would be considered upper class in other cities. Especially centrally located classics such as the Mirage and Caesars Palace delight with beautifully furnished, enormously spacious rooms, great pools and a pleasant atmosphere.

Prices often start at $100-150 a night, only at weekends and in high season it can be (significantly) more expensive.

The Mirage

Despite or because of its age, this hotel is a true classic on the Strip. Famous for its white tigers, Siegfried & Roy and its man-made volcanic eruption at the entrance, The Mirage can still stand the test of time

.

The

hotel's tropical, slightly lighter setting with lots of water is particularly pleasant - and the breakfast is one of the better ones in town.

$$

Paris

Directly opposite Caesars Palace is the Paris, which is also in a prime location. The hotel's even greater strength, however, is its architecture, including the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe

.

The

spacious rooms

are

inviting, the buffet is good and prices are often friendly, even for families with children.

Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace is another of the city's

classics

. Despite its age, it is still one of the most beautiful hotels in Las Vegas and has lost none of its charm over the years - thanks to numerous renovations and expansions

. In addition to the architecture and its flair, the pool facilities are also very appealing. Nevertheless, it is often affordable even on a medium budget.

Wynn Las Vegas

Wynn: Luxury hotel with its own golf course next door.Luxury at the highest level

Finally, accommodations such as Bellagio and Wynn are on a 5-star level, the latter even having its own golf course. The real highlight, however, are the great pools and the incredibly spacious rooms, which can also be a not-so-expensive option for families. As a rule, you have to calculate about 200-250$ as a minimum.

Aria

Not to be left unmentioned is the still quite new and accordingly modern Aria, which looks a bit too arbitrary from the outside, but immediately makes up for this small shortcoming on the inside.

First choice here are

the so-called

Sky Suites, which bring with them a great view of the city, but also the normal rooms and the beautiful pool area are worth seeing

.

$$-$$$

Bellagio

Famous for its fountain games every evening, the Bellagio is still one of the best hotels in the city a good fifteen years after it opened

.The hotel goes to great lengths, especially

with its

entrance hall, which is designed to match the season: Flower arrangements, birds, butterflies - always impressive. The rooms and service are also beyond reproach.

$$$

Wynn

The Wynn is even more luxurious. Only opened in 2005, the hotel impresses even by Las Vegas standards with great decor, great service and an appealing setting that, while less "themed" than older hotels, is bright, with lots of greenery and almost calming in the hustle and bustle of the city

.If money is no object, the Wynn

is our

first choice.

Off the Strip

There aren't many good reasons not to stay in the centre, but the lower prices and slightly quieter location may be worth considering. The level of comfort, especially at the great M Resort, is at least upper-middle class.

Red Rock Resort

If you are looking for (relative) peace and quiet away from the Strip, but still want to be close to the city, the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa is the place for you. The spacious resort is located, as the name suggests, in the very west of the city area and not far from the Red Rock Canyon, which is well worth seeing. In terms of price, the Red Rock is in the middle class, but in terms of quality it does not have to hide from Venetian category accommodation.

M Resort

The M Resort, which is located on the southern outskirts of the city and is almost the last building before entering the barren desert, is one of the best hotels in Las Vegas

. The M Resort makes up for its rather unfavourable location (even by car it takes 20 to 40 minutes to get to the city centre, depending on traffic) with great rooms and a spacious pool area, and the inexpensive buffet is even top class. If location is not an issue, a great choice!

Basic considerations

As usual, there are two factors that (should) significantly influence the decision for or against a hotel: The location of the accommodation and the cost. Las Vegas is quite different from most major cities, however, as basically the entire tourist centre of the city consists almost exclusively of hotels.

In other words, the choice is wide, the quality is high, the rooms are huge - and so it is often possible to book good accommodation in a prime location at a knockdown price. Exceptions apply on holiday weekends and around major events or trade fairs.

Das Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas

Cosmopolitan: Modern accommodation in the centre.

What's more, the wide choice means that even on a small budget you can book accommodation in a prime location - and prime location in Las Vegas always means in the centre of the Strip, i.e. the central street where all the city's attractions are located.

Staying off the Strip is only worth considering if you are not visiting the city for sightseeing and your own entertainment, but because you want to relax and spend time by the pool: at the end of a long round trip or as part of your honeymoon.
